The painting here is “Sea Monarch” – the next piece up here on my easel at my Celebration, Florida studio. She’s a re-visitation of an earlier concept of mine – drawing on similar elements of my Poissons Volants series and the butterflies in my “Monarch” fairy queen painting. In this piece you’ll see her tail and fin elements become tattered monarch wings, with hints of blue morpho butterflies (and one rising triumphant in front of the sunset), all in a lovely ocean seascape.
“Sea Monarch” is a piece we’re handling sales for ourselves, she’s not destined for a specific show or gallery. She’s in the early sketch stage of painting in this WIP photo, she’ll be a highly detailed original acrylic painting on a 16″x12″ panel. We’ll have the original available framed (or unframed if you prefer) priced at $6200
