Next giveaway – “Snow White in the Forest” signed color proof on canvas!
January 2 (back when I get home to Florida from Kansas City!) is the night for my next give away here at Patreon – very special – my artist color proof on canvas for “Snow White in the Forest.” Winner will be selected from Patreon via random number generator January 2 at around 8pm EST. All my Patreon members of all levels will be entered automatically, just be sure your account is in good standing (several of you need to update your CC info!).
What’s a color proof? Basically when I do a painting for the Walt Disney Company, after the painting has been scanned in, etc. they mail me a “color proof” on a sheet of canvas. This is for me personally to look at, to see if their printing inks are the right colors, etc. to match the original painting. It’s the first time I see a printed version of the painting, it comes on a sheet of canvas marked “color proof” and it is not a product that is sold in stores, it’s for my own personal internal use to check the colors. The printed image is about 7.75″x9.75″ and the sheet of canvas is about 9″x12″ roughly cut into a rectangle. Just as shown, it has the writing “Color Proof” on the front, and then I have also autographed it in gold ink on the front image just to make it more special =)
Since I cannot sell this piece (and neither can you, it is marked NFS Not For Re-Sale on the back) it is a very unique item. Rather than having her gather dust in my studio closet, I thought I would give her away as a unique Jasmine collectible and a piece of Disney art history to some lucky Patreon member out there! You could totally mat & frame her and she’d look just like one of the fancy canvas prints, very lovely =)
