CHG update, weekend plans

Good morning Patrons!  Got a few things to update you all with – Matty has caught up with orders and has joined me out in California so we can try to still have an art-filled weekend despite having had to cancel MegaCon.

There was a quick email update from the Corey Helford Gallery this morning with some important info about The Little Prince 75th Anniversary opening event tomorrow (Saturday, August 14) in downtown Los Angeles.  Please read this if you are wanting to attend the opening tomorrow:

**”As coronavirus cases continue to rise, CHG will be requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination as a condition of entry into the gallery, plus masks will be required and 200 people at a time will be allowed into the gallery’s 12,000 square foot space, which will be monitored by CHG’s staff. After opening night, CHG returns to their regular visiting hours (Thursday through Saturday from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm). There will be no exceptions to this rule, so if you have little ones, we ask that you please have them stay at home.”**

The show will be hanging through September 18, so even if you’re not able to attend the opening night, there will be ample opportunities to see the show during the regular visiting hours in the coming weeks too.

Details about the show and gallery can be found on their website:  https://coreyhelfordgallery.com/shows/corey-helford/year:2021/

Matt & I are planning to attend the opening later in the evening – I brought my coivd paperwork with me, but Matt left his in Florida so we’re trying to sort that out now, lol.  If you see us, say hi!

Also tomorrow night right here in Long Beach, Matt & I will be stopping by our friend David Van Gough’s “Infernal” art show opening at the Dark Art Emporium located in the Fourth Horseman on 4th street.  A lot of you folks know David’s work too, so if you see Matty & I there earlier in the evening, say hi to us too, we’re sort of doing a gallery crawl through SoCal tomorrow I guess =)  (PS – shout out to David’s Patreon too – https://www.patreon.com/davidvangough )

Here at my studio I’m gonna be working on some ACEO cards this weekend, hopefully finishing up my “California Godiva” painting and possibly that Tiny Treasure I started last Twitch.  We need to finalize our next Twitch broadcast date (it’s a bit tricksy at the moment as we have to sort out when we’ll be in FL before DragonCon, also need to have a meeting with Sonya flying out from KC so it is very busy times around here).

I’m hoping to get out to the Aquarium of the Pacific while I’m out here though and will be sure to post some Patreon Lens over the next few days showing off what I’m up to!

We’ll have some coloring page/s up shortly too, just got our booth assignment for DragonCon and will have info about that momentarily, stay tuned!

x
