As many of you may remember, my $8K goal here at Patreon was to buy a new printer so that we can make super BIG canvas giclees. It’s very large, weighs over 300 pounds and requires a special freight truck & delivery that needs us to be there in person for installation, so we’ve been trying to work out the timing, lol. Basically we had to make sure we would physically be here in Florida during the delivery window quoted by the factory – and as you may notice, I have to travel out of state/overseas to various art appearances/shows/galleries/festivals every few days, lol.
But finally we’ve got it sorted & scheduled! This big printer will be arriving next Monday – I’m super excited! >^__^<
This means too that I’ll be able to release the Masterpiece Editions for some of my larger paintings (such as “Dress of Sinners, Dress of Saints” and “Isle of the Dead”, etc.) in full sized formats – I’ve really been looking forward to this! I have several other large new original paintings planned and have been waiting to get this printer up & running before I start – just to make sure that I can do full sized canvases that will reflect all the tiny details and do them justice 😉
We have decided to also offer a selection of various open edition GIANT format canvas giclees for some of my other previous pieces to have online. Reproductions of various large paintings of mine that I haven’t been able to make super BIG before. These will be open editions and will be available online ONLY to Patreon Patrons and will be added for sale alongside the Canvas Cuties in our new “Patreon Exclusive” section at Strangeling.com . We won’t be able to make giant canvases of ALL my paintings, lol, as I am a stickler for print quality and making a four foot canvas enlargement of a painting that was only 6″x8″ inches would just be silly ;P But for some of my larger pieces that have been popular over the years we’ll be adding the BIG canvas options (such as 48″ or even 60″ sizes) up in that Patreon Exclusive section at Strangeling.com =) We may also be able to do some special requests if there are any paintings of mine that you’ve ever wanted as a BIG open edition canvas giclee (all will come wrapped on boards, gallery-style, wired & ready-to-hang – no framing needed).
This also means we’ll have many larger canvas options available at the Pop Gallery at Disney Springs too of course, since we print those ourselves! =) =)
