I’m excited to announce a new perk for my Patreon Patrons in the $5+ tiers for more “Behind the Scenes” content: I’ve FINALLY figured out how to get “Patreon Lens” to work. This is a TEST snippet (it’s double posted, once through Lens and once for the public here), and I think it seems to be showing up okay. Big thank you to the Patreon help folks, got it working great on my phone now (I think, lol).
What’s Patreon Lens? It’s the Patreon company’s own video platform, basically it lets the creator (in this case me. Creatrix?) post short video content direct from my own phone exclusively for Patreon Patrons (in this case the 5+ tier folks) that you can watch here when logged in on my Patreon Page on your computer OR the Lens videos also will pop up on your Patreon App. They disappear after 24 hours sort of like an “Instagram Story”, I believe.
I’m new to this, bear with me, but my goal is to try to post a short video for my Patrons approximately each day – things like behind-the-scenes content, tours of my studios, walks around town and regular IRL stuff, travel, livestreams from events, maybe some product unboxing, etc. This way too even when I’m on the road or out in the middle of nowhere, I can show you what I’m up to that day. I really appreciate you all and I think this could be a lot of fun =)
Will it really be every day? Nah, probably not, life happens, connections are bad, mercury retrogrades. But some days are particularly exciting and may warrant multiple Lens posts, and I’ll try to keep it averaging around once a day if it all works out 😉

In this sample/intro Lens broadcast, you’ll see me showing off some of the new upcoming Event Exclusive Strangeling Pins! FINALLY after a couple years of illness and quarantine for us & the rest of the world, we’re back to our scheduled live appearance events and we are planning to hook up attendees with some extra special Event Exclusive Pins.
The MegaCon Event Exclusives will be a beautiful version of my “Stranded” mermaid, and two pins that actually fit together as a set OR individually (we’ll be handing them out on separate days, so if you get both you can put them together or if not, they definitely stand alone too) – those will be “Divine Hand” and “Speak No Evil!” These will be free gifts with any Strangeling purchase at MegaCon Orlando, divided up somehow TBD, we will be bringing 200 of each of the three pins, for attendees only, first come first served, details TBA.
Every year, The Kansas City Renaissance Festival gets a Show Exclusive Strangeling Pin that is only available to purchase in person at the KC RenFest at the Strangeling gallery building. These are typically available to buy for the duration of the show season (unless we run out, like near the end maybe?). There’s usually a daily limit to how many you can purchase.
Many more events and event exclusive pins will be announced soon, we’ll be updating the Events Calendar and my Facebook Events Page once we get more concrete info on times/locations and policies, but we are confirmed for certain at MegaCon Orlando, KC RenFest, DragonCon Atlanta, Glastonbury UK Faery Fayre. We are still working with the Disney Springs regulations to lift on live events at independent galleries located on property but hope to be doing a Pop Gallery event outdoors soon at Disney Springs with a special pin as well!
Don’t live near an event or can’t travel? In addition to mixing a handful into the future Mystery Pin Packs, we’ll be handing a few spares as goodies on Twitch too. Most importantly – this can be a big part of the fun of the Strangeling Pins Trading/Collectors Group (free, on Facebook – join us here – https://www.facebook.com/groups/strangelingpins ) – MANY folks who live local to the Florida, KC, California, UK, Atlanta, etc. events are happy to try and snag pins in person on your behalf in return for trading other pins, other Strangeling artwork sometimes, $$$ of course, or similar location based favours. Since the KC RenFest for example runs all autumn, some collectors in the Kansas City area will buy extras to trade in the Pins Group or to re-sell, etc. Feel free to hop up to the pins group and post if you are looking to find a new friend to wait in line for you overseas, lol, or if you yourself have some rare pins or spare exclusives from an event near you. It’s incredibly fun and about to get way more exciting soon……. 😉
