Watch us live on Twitch free on any browser here: https://www.twitch.tv/jasminebecketgriffith or also the Twitch App is free for any device – my user ID is JasmineBecketGriffith) Using some real roses & petals for visual reference, I’ve drawn in some petals filling the terrarium/bell jar around the base of Rose, and I’m going to be sort of making her hair turn into rose petals framing her face. She’s an interesting character to portray visually in the requested “Jasmine” style, as sometimes she’s depicted as a tiny girl that is really more of an anthropomorphized flower, and I want to incorporate elements of both aspects.
IMPORTANT: This painting is a copyrighted work and the characters and IP of The Little Prince / Le Petit Prince belong to the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry estate. I myself CANNOT make/sell prints or other merchandise with this artwork, ONLY the original painting. Sort of like how I was invited to do the paintings for Sanrio of Hello Kitty, or the Mattel pieces for Monster High, or all the Disney stuff I do. So – the original painting will be for sale via the Corey Helford Gallery with permission from the Antoine de Saint-Exupéry estate, but Strangeling.com won’t have prints, etc. So if you want this one, lol, sounds like you gotta snag the actual original painting ;P
She’s an original acrylic painting on a 12×16″ panel that will go into a fabulous ornate frame we had made in Florida and transported all the way here to California. I am not 100% sure what the pricepoint will be, as it’s going to be a contracted/licensed project with the Little Prince folks & CHG folks, but it seems like usually ones of this size/complexity are currently retailed around the $6400 point so it’s probably around that. Again – NO PRINTS (on my end at least, I suppose the Little Prince people theoretically could do them someday) – so if you want this beauty, contact the gallery about the original.
