We hit our $5k goal! Thank you all – what a wonderful holiday surprise and a great way to end 2017. I really cannot say “thank you” enough. I will have to think up some sort of extra good giveaway (probably after Christmas though – we’re heading up to do a bunch of family stuff this weekend in Kansas City) – stay tuned!
As you may recall, our goal was to hire a full time Florida employee, and the wheels have already started turning. We do have a person (Sarah) lined up, it will take some effort for her to get relocated from Missouri to Florida in the early/mid part of 2018, but things are now in action. Thank you to all who sent in resumes, by the way! Even though this specific position has been filled, if things continue to go well we may need more help in the coming years =)
Of course this has made me now focus on our NEXT Patreon Goals (can’t have a big blank spot on my main page, lol, thank you for making me prioritize, Patreon! 😉 ). I have set up two new goals, each for the subsequent 1k increments. They are posted on my primary Patreon overview page, and I’m also going to copy & paste them below here for those of you who are curious (I am super excited about both, and I’m guessing that a lot of people are going to be VERY excited about the first one!).

$6000 = Live Twitch Streaming!
I am very excited about this one. Matt & I have been toying with this idea for awhile, and then finally my friend and fellow artist Nen Chang convinced me (over the course of a year and two workshops, lol) that I need to start livestreaming my studio up at Twitch. I want to do it right though, and to have good technology, a studio helper & decent cameras and microphones to really make it worth watching. When we hit our $6000 goal here at Patreon I will then have enough extra $$ to buy good cameras, microphones, broadcasting software, and can then entice Matt to “moderate” and help out during my live broadcasting sessions. We’re going to start off with one live show per week, of course I’ll be doing special events & advance warnings for my Patreon Patrons 😉 – it will have live chat and you can watch me paint from multiple angles, ask questions, etc. I want it to be exciting and interactive! There will be NO additional charge to watch me on Twitch (though of course we’ll no doubt set up a tip jar or something, lol) – everybody is welcome. Should be fun for our friends, family, fans, collectors and for fellow artists and aspiring artists who want to see how & where & what I’m working on. Thank you all so much for your support! $7000 = BIG PRINTER
And I mean BIG. We have big printers now, but I want a giant printer and I know a lot of you guys out there want me to have one too. I’d like to do giant 5-10 foot canvases of my work. The upcoming year(s) will have me working on some very large original paintings and I’d like to have the capability to make very large masterpiece editions & prints that really capture all that detail and do them justice! We are setting up our new printing office to have space for this big monster, and then it will just be the issue of buying the beast, purchasing all the necessary accessories, a dedicated computer & the software needed. huge jugs of archival ink, big rolls of museum grade canvas & papers, delivery, maintenance & installation, all that jazz. Technically this goal will not be met by $7000, but a couple months of that level of capital will shortly cover it (and I want to keep these goals here at Patreon rational & attainable, as I am half Vulcan). Thank you all so much for your support, this is something I have been wanting for decades and I will cry real tears if this happens.
