I just received a few texts from employees at the Corey Helford Gallery, all asking me to please let my friends, fans & collectors know that my Hello Kitty original painting for the Sanrio Hello Kitty 45th Birthday event has been SOLD.
Apparently they are getting hit with a lot of phonecalls about her since the Collector’s Preview was sent out (I’m always the last one to know, lol) and they thought it might be easier if I just posted the news on my social media, Patreon, etc.
They (Sanrio) still has not announced which image(s) from the event will be made into prints or merchandise, but I promise to let you all know the second I find out! They will only be selecting a handful of the paintings from the show for licensing as prints, and there are a lot of fabulous artists contributing to the event, so CROSS YOUR FINGERS that My Hello Kitty is one that they decide to choose (also, not to sound braggy, hehe, but I suspect if they did choose mine they could potentially make a small fortune based on the amount of inquiries already just on the original painting 😉 ). I promise to keep you all posted!
The Hello Kitty 45th Birthday event will be held at the Corey Helford Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles the evening of June 29th (I believe it starts at 7PM), so you can drop in and see this lovely piece in person (again though, she is definitely SOLD) and that is also theoretically where/when any prints (of either mine or those from other great artists!) will be available, and you can see all the other wonderful paintings of Miss Hello Kitty hanging there too! I won’t be there myself as I need to be in Florida that weekend, but many of the artists will be in attendance =)
